Happy Spring!
If the Lord has a favorite season, it might be spring.
Think about it: Jesus rose in the spring. And springtime is when dead vegetation comes back to life. Sure: it’s also allergy season. But, mostly, it’s Resurrection Season. A time of hope. May hope pierce your dark clouds this spring.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13 (NIV).
This Saturday, April 5th.
Speaking of clouds, rain and clouds are heading our way this Saturday. The day we’re doing our garden cleanup. We’d plan an all-day event, but we’re scaling back. Please join us if you can from 9 a.m to 12 noon. We’ll be there rain or shine, unless there’s a thunderstorm:). Please let us know if you’re coming by signing up below.
A Surprising Donation

Six Hundred and Thirty (630). That’s how many plants Claudia McDermott donated to Urban Fresh Gardens in March. Our donor parted ways with her beloved pothos after years of growing them. It’s a gift that will keep on giving. Thank you, Claudia!
Because of Claudia’s generosity, you can buy a potted plant, starting at $9.99.
A Gift that won’t Fade like Cut Flowers
Give yourself or a beloved mother a gift that won’t fade like cut flowers. Please text 860‐940‐ 0108 to place your order now.

Why Pothos are perfect for Mother’s Day.
- They last longer than cut flowers.
- You don’t have to worry if Mom doesn’t have a green thumb. They’re easy to grow. Just snip off part of the plant, place that in water, and in a few days you’ll have roots that you can plant in the soil. Once that starts growing, you can snip again and again. As Claudia said, you can have them forever.
- They’re relatively easy to maintain. What if Mom forgets to water them? No problem. They’ll survive for a while, even if you forget to water them. Also, they don’t need much sunlight.
- Also, no need for hoeing and digging outside. They’re indoor plants, so Mom can grow them at her fingertips.
At the Fair

We were guests at Walnut Hill’s partners’ fair on March 23rd. We chatted with other ministry partners and interacted with the congregation at the Bethel campus for the 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. services. About 25 people signed and showed interest in either knowing about or volunteering at UFG.
Hoping to see you soon!
